Shivalik Institute of Education & Research (SIER), established under the prestigious Shivalik Education Society (Regd.), Chandigarh, is a leading institution for teacher education in North India.With a proud legacy of academic excellence spanning over three decades, the Society entered the field of Teacher Education in 2005-06 with the establishment of SIER at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), along with its five renowned Shivalik Public Schools.

The institute was founded under the Visionary Leadership of S. D. S. Bedi Ji, whose dedication to quality education continues to guide the institution’s mission. His legacy thrives under the dynamic leadership of Ms. Satwant Devinder Singh, who continues to uphold his vision of academic excellence and holistic development.

The institute offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Arts in Education (M.A. Education) programmes, both designed to build professional competence, pedagogical skills, and a strong ethical foundation among future educators. SIER is affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala, and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur.
